A tube and font of your choice.

Open a new image 500 x 500 with a transparent background.
Open your tube and select two complimentary colours for your fore and backgrounds. Minimise tube for later.
Set your foreground to Gradient, style rectangular, Foreground~ Background, with these settings;
Flood fill image with gradient.
Duplicate layer.
Image > Flip
Reduce opacity of copy layer to 48.
Merge Visible.
Select Effects > plugins > Stylise > Extrude. Apply the following settings;
Duplicate > Image > Flip.
Reduce opacity of flipped layer to 46
Merge visible.
Select Layers > Load Mask from Disc. Select Mask 190 (Should be default in psp 8 but if not you can find it here)
Right click on mask layer in layer palette, select delete and then yes to merge.
Merge Group
Back to your tube. Edit > Copy then Edit > Paste as new layer onto your working image.
Rename this layer "tube"
Duplicate layer > Rename it "Tube 2" > Hide layer.
Make "Tube" layer active.
Your layer pallete should look like this;
Effects > Plug ins > VM ToolBox > Zoom Blur
Apply these settings;
Activate "Tube 2" Layer and make visible
Resize by 85% with bicubic resample, all layers unchecked.
Apply drop shadow with these settings;
Repeat the drop shadow but change the shadow colour to white. Repeat a few times until you get an eerie white glow. Add a new raster layer and send to the bottom of your layers palette.
Floodfill with white.
Merge visible.
Add new raster layer, add your name with the text of your choice.
Effects > 3d Effects > Inner Bevel with the following settings;
Add the same drop shadow as before in black, then repeat a few times with the white.
