I used the artwork of Barbara Jensen for the examples in this tut. You need to buy a licence to be able to use her artwork. Please visit her website here for more information!
There are no outside filters used in this tutorial!
Lets start!
Open a new image 500 x 300 and floodfill with white.
Copy your tube and paste as a new layer. Don't resize it!
Move it across to the left side of the canvas.
Duplicate and go to Image > Mirror.
Close off the white background layer and Merge Visible.
Lower the opacity of the merged layer to 14.
Make the background layer visible again.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.
Resize it to fit neatly on your tag.
Add a new raster layer and move it under your tube layer.
Select a dark colour from your tube.
Find the Seduce Brush I supplied.
Apply once on the new raster layer to the top left corner of your tag and once to the bottom right corner.
Add a new raster layer.
Apply brush once in the bottom left corner and once in the top right corner.
Reduce the opacity of both brush layers to 30.
Add a new layer.
Select a bright colour from your tube.
Apply the brush once on the new layer positioning it roughly central on the right side of the canvas.
Merge all visible.
Go to Image > Add Borders.
Add a symmetric border of 5 pixels in the same colour you used for your final brush.
Take your magic wand (tolerance set to 2) and select the border.
Add the following Drop Shadow;
Repeat the Drop Shadow changing the Horizontal and Vertical values to -1.
Now for the text.
Use the same colour as you used for the border for the background and select a slightly darker shade for your foreground.
Using Velvender Cooler apply your name to the bottom of the tag with these settings;
Use the nodes to pull the text out to the edge of the canvas and up to about a third of the way up.
When you have it in position right click on the vector layer and convert to raster layer. Lower the opacity to 50.
Make your background colour the darker of the two you chose and the foreground null.
Select Lainie Daisy SH and apply your name with these settings;
Apply to the tag and use the nodes to pull the text out to fit.
