For this tutorial you will need the following supplies;

Paint Shop Pro (This tut done in version 8 but easily adapted for other versions.)

Eye Candy 3 Here

Eye Candy 4 Here

Preset Shape Here

A tube and font of your choice.



I used the artwork of Kenny Kiernan for the examples in this tut. You need to buy a licence to be able to use the artwork I have used here. Please visit AMI here for more information! Also Check out Kennys website here to see more of his awesome work!



Lets start!

Drop the preset shape into your preset shapes folder.

Open a new raster image 500 x 500 with a transparent background. Floodfill with white.

Set your foreground to null and your background to black (Or another complimentary colour from your tube).
Select your preset shapes tool.
Find the 3hrts preset shape in the drop down box.Settings like this:







Hold your shift key down and draw out your hearts to fill out most of your canvas.

Convert to raster and duplicate so you have 3 hearts layers.

Rename them heart 1, heart 2 and heart 3.

Hide your heart 3 layer by clicking on the glasses next to the layer in the layers palette.

Highlight hearts 2 layer.

Effects > DSB Flux > Mosaic Ripple. Apply with these settings.







Highlight Heart 1 in the layer palette.

Go to Image > Resize.

Resize by 85% with bicubic resample, all layers unchecked.

Go to Effects > Texture Effects > Mosaic Antique.

Apply with these settings:







Make the Heart 3 layer visible again. Apply the following Inner Bevel;







Repeat Inner Bevel.

Got to Effects > Plug-ins > Eye Candy 3 > Glass.

Apply with these settings:







Go to Effects > Plug-ins > Eye Candy 4 > Gradient Glow.

Apply with these settings.







Set the Colour to White.

Move heart 3 slightly off to the right so it is offset against the Heart 2 layer.







Copy your tube and paste it onto your canvas as a new layer. Resize if needed.

Position her where you want her to be, make sure you leave enough space on the large heart to write your slogan!

Apply the gradient glow to the tube with the same settings, colour white.

Re-apply the gradient glow but this time change the colour to a contrasting one from your tube.

Add the following drop shadow,







Change your background colour to the contrasting one you chose for your glow.

Select your preset shape again and add a few hearts around the tag.

Add the drop shadow to your hearts.

add your © info.







Now select your font. I used Satisfaction.

Set your font tool to these settings and type in your slogan.







Use the nodes on the vectors to rotate the text on the heart.

Add the Inner bevel and drop shadow we used previously.

Still with the font change the size to 48.

Type your name on the top left of your tag.

Add the inner bevel and then repeat the gradient glow. Add the drop shadow and save as a jpeg.

Play around with the colours on the glow to get some really cool effects!
