Floodfill with white.
Select one of the seamless tiles from the scrap kit (I
used Seamless tile 1).
Set your pattern to the tile and
add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with the
pattern.
Go to layers > Load / Save Mask >Load Mask from Disk.
Locate Sweetmask 15 and apply with these settings;
Delete the mask layer and say yes to merging then merge
group.
Go to Image > Resize. Resize by 65% with bicubic resample all layers unchecked.
Select one of the darker tiles from the kit. Copy and
paste it as a new layer.
Resize by 75% and position it to
the top left hand square of the layer.
Select the other dark tile and repeat the paste and
resize as above.
move this one down to the lower right
square. Merge down and add the following drop shadow;
Lower the opacity of this layer to around 68.
Close off the white background and merge visible. Make
the white background visible again.
With the merged layer the active one take your magic wand
and click once outside the mask layer. Go to Selections >
Invert.
Then go to Image > Crop to Selection.
Edit > Copy Merged.
Open a new transparent canvas 500 x 500 and floodfill with white,
this will now become your working tag.
Paste the mask
image onto the new canvas as a new layer.
Move it
slightly up and slightly to the left.
Repeat the drop shadow.
Minimise the working tag image for now.
Open up a new image 355 x 355 and go to Selections >
Select All.
Open up my render and select a large portion
of it with your selection tool set to rectangle.
Back over on the new image go to Edit > Paste > Paste
into selection.
Selections > Select None.
Copy and go back to your working tag. Highlight the white
background layer so it becomes the active layer then go
to Edit > Paste > Paste as a new layer.
Move it so that it sits evenly under the mask layer then
go to Edit > Rotate > Free Rotate. Rotate it by 5 degrees
to the right with rotate single layer around canvas
checked.
Repeat the drop shadow.
Go back to the render and select a different part of it
roughly the same size as last time.
Copy.
On the new image you used before, go to Selections >
Select All and then Paste into Selection.
Selections >
Select None.
Copy this and then paste it onto your working tag as a
new layer.
Rotate it by 5 degrees as you did last time
but this time change the direction to left.
Repeat the drop shadow.
You should have something like this;
Once you are happy with the positioning close off the
white background and merge visible.
Make the white background visible again and resize the
merged layer by 85% with bicubic resample and all layers
unchecked.
Move it up and to the left.
Minimise the working tag for now.
Open a new image 150 x 150 and floodfill with white. You
need to choose three of the seamless tiles from the kit
for this part.
Select the first tile. Copy and then paste as a new layer
onto the new image.
Go to Image > Resize. Resize by 65%
with bicubic resample all layers unchecked.
Repeat the above for the second tile. Go to Image >
Rotate > Free Rotate.
Rotate by 15 degrees to the right
with rotate single layer around canvas checked.
Copy and paste the third and final tile, resize it then
rotate it but this time rotate by 30 degrees.
Hide the white background layer and Merge Visible.
Copy.
Go back to the working tag and paste as new layer. Resize
by 65% and move to the top right of your tag. Duplicate
this layer.
Go to Image > Mirror > Image > Flip. Position this layer
directly below the first one.
Merge down.
Duplicated the merged down layer and move this one down
below the first one.
Merge down again then add the drop
shadow.
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Resize to suit
and repeat the drop shadow we have used throughout.
Now you get to use some of the elements from the kit to
decorate your tag!
