For this tutorial you will need the following supplies;

Paint Shop Pro (This tut done in version 8 but easily adapted for other versions.) trial version available here

My Supplies (these include my mask and my scrap kit) here

A tube and font of your choice ~ I used the artwork of Kim Harlow for the examples in this tut. Please visit her website here

Lets start!

Put the mask in your masks folder. Open the tube you have chosen to use and the scrap kit in PSP.

Open a new image 500 x 500 and floodfill with white.

Name this layer background.

On the scrap kit select one of the frame layers and paste as a new layer.

Go to Image > Rotate.

Free rotate by 15 degrees to the left with rotate single layer around canvas checked.

Go back to your scrap kit. Select the other frame and copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working canvas.

Go to Image > Rotate. Rotate by 15 degrees to the right with rotate single layer around canvas checked.

Position your frames so that the top one overlaps the bottom one slightly.







Highlight the bottom frame layer and select your magic wand.

Click once outside of the frame and then holding your shift key down click once inside of the frame.

Selections > Invert.

Highlight the top frame layer. With your eraser tool erase part of the frame so that they appear to be interlinked.







Selections > Select none.

Close off the background layer and merge the two frame layers together. Rename Frames.

Highlight your white background layer and add a new raster layer.

Select one of the background tiles on the scrap kit and set as pattern in your materials palette. Floodfill the new layer with the pattern.

Go to layers > Load Save Mask > Load mask from disk and locate my mask tapas2sweet in the drop down box.

Apply with these settings;









Delete the mask layer in the layer palette and say yes to the pop up box.

Merge the group and lower the opacity of the merged layer to 70.

Highlight the frames layer in your layers palette. Take your magic wand and click once inside the top part of the frames.

Go to Selections > Modify > Expand. Expand by two pixels.

Open up your tube and copy. Paste as a new layer on your canvas.

Resize the tube layer by 75% with bicubic resample, all layers unchecked.

Position the tube so that the part you want to show inside the frame is in position then go to Selections > Invert.

Make sure you are still on the tube layer and hit delete.

Selections > Select none.

Move the tube layer below the frames layer.

Highlight the frames layer again and using your magic wand click once inside the empty frame and with your shift key held down click once inside any overlapping parts of the frame.

Selections > Modify > Expand. Expand by four pixels.







Go back to your original tube and go to Image > Mirror.

Copy the mirrored tube and paste as a new layer on your working canvas.

Image > Resize. Resize by 75% wih bicubic resample, all layers unchecked. Again position the tube so that the part you want to show in the frame is where you want it then go to Selections > Invert and hit delete.

Selections > Select None. Move this tube layer under the frames layer.

Lower the opacity of both the tube layers to around 60.

Add the following Drop Shadow to your Frames layer and merge all visible.







Go to Image > Resize. Resize by 85% with bicubic resample, all layers unchecked.

Add a new raster layer and send to bottom.

Flood fill the new layer with white. Highlight the merged layer. Go to Image > Picture frame and locate Edge Round 2. Apply with these settings;







Merge all visible. Add a new raster layer and send it to the bottom. Floodfill with white.

Highlight the merged layer and move it up towards the top left of your tag.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer and position her towards the bottom right.

Resize the tube to suit the tag and apply the same drop shadow you used for the frames.







Over on your scrap kit select ribbon 2. Copy and paste onto your tag as a new layer, rename ribbon 1.

Move it to the bottom part of the tag.

Duplicate once and rotate by 90 degrees to the right with rotate as single layer around canvas checked.

Rename this layer as ribbon 2. On the scrap kit select Ribbon 1. Copy and paste as a new layer and then position it above the ribbon 1 layer at the bottom of the tag, rename ribbon 3.

Duplicate and rotate by 90 degrees to the right. Rename ribbon 4.

On your layer palette highlight ribbon 1 layer. Take your magic wand and click once to the top of the ribbon on your tag and holding the shift key down click once to the bottom.

Selections > Invert.

Highlight the Ribbon 4 Layer and with the eraser tool erase the area inside the marching ants.

Selections > Select None.







Apply the following drop shadow to all the ribbon layers.







Now its time to have some fun with the other elements!

Choose which ones you wish to add to your tag. Once you are happy with how your tag looks add your © info and merge all visible.

Go to Image > Add Borders and add a symmetric border 3 pixels wide in the main or contrasting colour of your tag.

Add another border this time 5 pixels wide in white.

Add one last one in the original colour 3 pixels wide.

Resize the image to suit your taste and add your name.
