My Supplies here

Penta ~ Dot and Cross

A tube and font of your choice

I used a beautiful image by Henri Peter. Please visit his website here.

Lets go!

Unzip my supplies. Install the brush in your brushes folder the mask into your mask folder.

Open a new image 500 x 500 with a transparent background.

Select a light colour from your tube for your foreground and floodfill your image.

Go to Effects > Plug-ins > Penta > Dot and Cross

Use the default settings

Add a new raster layer.

Select a dark colour from your tube for your background. Set your materials palette to gradient with these settings;

Floodfill your new raster layer with your gradient.

Layers > Load/Save Mask > Load mask from Disk.

Find The mask I supplied (Splash1) in the drop down menu and apply to your gradient layer with these settings;

You should have something similar to this;

On your Layers Palette highlight the mask layer and delete. Say yes to the pop up box!

Layers > Merge > Merge Group.

With your mover tool move your mask layer down and slightly to the right to create a border effect along the top and left side of your tag.

Highlight your bottom layer and copy and paste your tube image as a new layer. (Make sure your tube layer sits in between the background (penta) layer and the mask layer).

Resize your tube layer by 125%, Bicubic resample checked and all layers unchecked.

Repeat Resize.

Close off your mask layer and move the tube layer over to the left of the canvas. Reduce the opacity of the tube layer to 44 and turn your mask layer back on.

Add a new raster layer and send it to the top of your layers palette.

You can name your layers if you like (I am lazy and tend not to lol) Name this one strips 1.

With your selection tool set like this,

Select a long strip along the right hand side of your tag roughly this size.

Make sure your strip 1 layer is the active one and floodfill the selected area with the gradient you used previously.

Do not deselect!

Go to Effects > Plug-ins > Penta > Dot and Cross

Apply with default settings same as used on the background layer.

Keep selected. Add the following Drop Shadow;

Selections > Select None.

Lower the opacity of the strip 1 layer to 44.

Add a new raster layer (name it Strip 2)

Grab your selection tool again and select a strip along the bottom edge of your tag, roughly the same width as the one on the right hand side.

Floodfill selected area with your gradient, apply Penta Dot and Cross and apply the Drop Shadow. Deselect and lower the opacity of this layer down to 44.

Copy your tube again and paste onto your tag as a new layer. Make sure the new tube layer is on the top of your layers palette.

Move her so she is placed in the bottom right side of the tag.

Add the same Drop Shadow to your tube.

Highlight the Tube 1 layer (the one we resized), add a new raster layer.

Find the brush you are going to use in the paintbrush drop down menu and apply once to this new layer on the left hand side.

Now activate the top tube layer and add a new raster layer.

With your selection tool, select a long, thin strip along the right hand side of your tag. Floodfill the selected area with your gradient. Keep selected and apply the Drop Shadow again.

Go to Selections > Select None.

On the same layer select another long, thin strip similar in width along the bottom edge of your tag.

Alter the gradient settings to the following;

Floodfill the selected area with the gradient and apply the Drop Shadow once more.

Selections > Select None.

Add your © information and any watermark you use.

Select your font (I used AL Sandra) and add your name to the bottom left of the tag.

Resize to suit your taste and save as a jpeg!

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
